How to Become a Christian

John 1:12-3 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

The Bible teaches that all persons have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and are deserving only of his justice and wrath.  Thus man, in his natural state, is separated from God, without hope and with without God in this world.

The good news is that God did what man could not do.  He has reached out to us when we could not reach out to him.  In the person of Jesus Christ, God himself took on humanity, becoming one of us.  This person, Jesus Christ, lived the perfect life we fail to live and died the death we deserve to die.  In fact, on the cross and through is death, he bore the wrath of God which we deserve.  He did so as a substitute for sinners.

And he promises than anyone who turns from sin and trusts in him will have everlasting life.  He assures us that no one who trusts in him will ever be put to shame.  Thus, all who have come to experience the matchless love and grace of God in Christ will continually strive to repent of all known sin and live to the glory of God.

We urge everyone to make this question of your eternal welfare your principal occupation.
